Fans lined up before the doors opened at the Main Springfield Library at the Quadrangle in Springfield, Massachusetts.  They were there in anticipation to meet author, Price Van Ray, and get their first glimpse at his newest novel in a series of seven. The book signing was from 10am to 4pm. An all day event.

The novel entitled, “Chronicles of the Knickelback, The Monster Survival Guide” is about a young boy named Tielman Witiker Small.  He is haunted by painful memories of his past. Later, he is told by a librarian he is a Knickelback. These are the Guardians of the multiverse, who travel to parallel worlds keeping the peace. But, is this young man able to leave his painful past behind.  This fantastic book has monsters, demons, wizards, unimaginable worlds and so much more. Fans were so excited as they sat in other parts of the library to read the first few chapters. Others talked about what they think the next book might be about. Others came out for advice on how to publish their book. Price Van Ray handed out free comic books and informed everyone that the next book will be released next year. He said it will be on the same day each year September 17.  He hinted that the next novel will be a little darker, but with more twist and turns. There will be many funny moments.  He was happy to answer questions and sign autographs and talk too many who had a love for books.   Price Van Ray says that he hopes all of the other books in this series of seven will capture the imagination, and interest that this novel has sparked in many young readers.  He ended by saying “When you read, Book happen kids.  Imagine that.”  All of his books will be available on his website September 21, 2011.
